‘Sunshine in a Bottle’
redstuffdan is a 71 year old shy and retiring ex civil servant who lives quietly in the Nouvelle Aquitaine countryside with his beautiful French wife of 52 years.
My art, like my photography, borders on the naïve and was provoked as a complimentary activity to my recovery from illness. Some of the work is experimental and would best be described as an expression of a child let loose in the sweetshop of digital photography and acrylic paints.
My current obsessions are the Bordeaux vineyards, local village life, architecture, doors, mirrored images and digital photography as art. I hope you get as much pleasure from my work as I do in producing it.
Welcome to redstuffdan

Thanks for the virtual trip to France. It’s a long way from Sydney but I’m hoping to get back there next year.
Best wishes,

“… a child let loose in the sweetshop of digital photography and acrylic paints…” isn’t it the best description there is?!

Hi Dan
sounds like my own story. Illness has one thing good to it which is it makes you think about life (especially your own little life) and usually you find out that what was so important before has all of a sudden become less urgent.
I hope life is still good to you and your family
Cheers Uwe

Hi,
Unfortunately Tours is nearer to Paris than Bordeaux so l have no pictures – Hopefully one day we will get to visit.😃

Hello -I’ve been following your blog with its absolutely exquisite work, for some time now.. .
I wanted to search for photos in the Tours area but I see that your site doesn’t have the keyword search,. A (cyber) friend of mine, a young lady from Portugal, is an exhange student this term at University there, and she & her roomates explore the area as time permits
