I was recently asked by fellow WP Blogger Sue Judd ( suejudd.com ) if we were near Gensac in the Gironde. In fact we are about an hour away but have never been there. We had been planning to take a look at Montpon Menesterol in Dordogne this Saturday and decided to make a short diversion into Gensac for a flying visit. These are a few of the pictures from the village and nearby.

Bonjour Shellie,
What a great question – l don’t know but l have already started to research it’s origin and purpose – The first person l asked said they thought it might be where meat was hung (then laughed) – I will keep you informed.
Regards
Dan

Great shots. I’m curious, the shot titled Boucherie, Epicerie, what is the bubble on the corner of the building? Would it have held a light of some kind?
