These pictures are not easy to look at and were extremely difficult to take. The room with the shoes sits alongside the room with the green chair and debris from a fire. I couldn’t bring myself to look inside the plastic carrier bag nailed to the wall as by that time the dreadful smell and fear had enveloped me and my hands were shaking.

This abandoned house sits in undergrowth alongside the decaying pigeonnaire in St Pardon de Conques which l had always thought of as quite beautiful until l discovered the dark foreboding interior of the adjacent decaying house. A very ‘Creepy’ place that will not be getting a return visit anytime soon.
